The hotel did not have air conditioning. It was terribly hot (85-90 degrees F/ 26-32 C). The hotel brought up another fan but it did not do much good. It would never stay here again in the hot summer.
The location of the hotel is excellent - the hotel is in the town of Horw on Lake Lucerne and about 20 minutes' drive from the old town of Lucerne. The bus station to Lucerne is about a 5-minute walk from the hotel. The hotel staff is very helpful. The room is clean. The view from the room is stunning. The breakfast is excellent. On the first evening we also ordered dinner which was really delicious.
Please note that the hotel has no air-conditioning. Smoking is only permitted on the balconies or on the terrace.
